You know, after deleting everything on my blog and starting over (again) I felt sort of like I had really been forgotten in the mix when no one commented on my entry. Then, I realized I had 9 comments in moderation, and it made me feel better. I am pathetic, but, nevertheless glad that someone is still paying attention.
In more substantial news, I did a maternity photoshoot last night for a couple of our friends who live just down the road. To be perfectly honest, I was a little nervous about my first real shoot with the new camera, but it went fine, and I am so pleased with the pictures that I want to show them off. If you want a sneak peek at my new photography Web site (which is still very much unfinished) then go to Catapult Photography, and check out the maternity gallery in the portfolio. Let me know what you think. Here is one photo to get you started:

Beautiful site and beautiful photos! I wish you great success.
If you’re still doing this 17 years from now, maybe you can take Oliver’s senior photos… (crazy to think how fast these years will go!)

Looks like 2008 is the year for starting over. Congratulations on your photo shoot! The photos turned out very nicely. I’m always envious of people who get to do what they love for a living. Way to go!

Where’s all the other goodness? What about those of us who just happened upon your site today—Jan 21 ‘08?
Found you off of Jenny’s site, by the way.
I like your writing style (what little I can find in two whole posts) and the photos rock.
I’ll visit again. Feel free to venture over to my site (probably linked from the name) and leave me a comment if you have time.
Best.

although it’s understandable that one must work for a living, you truly have a wonderful creative and artistic talent–don’t let that slip away.

How weird is it that the first thing I noticed (and am now obsessed over) is the ring in maternity shots with the bow/tag.
You don’t need me to tell you that the maternity shoot went VERY well. The shots are excellent, and I’m sure they’ll be pleased with them!

off to a good start, stranger. i don’t know how or why i have your site bookmarked (i do a lot of blog jumping) but something caught my eye long ago.
advice: invest in a small, portable strobe kit. alienbees.com or something like that. i feel you have a studio eye but being limited to natural light you will find you are…well, limited.
